Lori Vallow: 6 Victims, 3 Perps, But Who Did What?

The Lori Vallow case is so complicated, flow charts are emerging all over the place. Some show her five marriages, others show the victims and relationships between them. I’ll show you some of those charts in a minute.

To be clear, part of what makes this case so confounding is the relatively unclear nature surrounding the status of multiple victims. There may “only” be two victims, or as many as five victims, or six, or, if Lori’s sister’s death in 1998 turns out to be suspicious too, seven.

The missing children add another element of uncertainty to the prosecution. If they are dead, where are their bodies?

In the Gannon Stauch case we saw how much effort went into finding one 11-year-old boy, and at one point it seemed the authorities were almost beaten. In this case there are two children, 7-year-old Joshua and 17-year-old Tylee. It was really their unexplained disappearance that got Lori onto the radar of the authorities.

In the Stauch case we saw the stepmother relationship possibly playing a role in filicide. In this case there’s a stepmother scenario with 7-year-old stepson Joshua, but Tylee is Lori’s daughter by blood. It’s possible death of her own daughter, who was a companion with her mother through 17 years of different husbands and family sets ups, that’s going to be a crucial key to finding out where Lori’s head was at.

In the Watts case we saw how the unwanted pregnancy probably led to the deaths of the unwanted mother, and the children became collatoral damage. We may see something similar here, where Joshua became the “debris” of a family setup she wanted extinguished, and then Tylee was seen in the same way.

At this point I want to compare the Vallow case to the Watts case. Many of us have regarded Watts as the absolute scum of the Earth. It was also hard to imagine a case more wicked or heartless than this one, and the sentencing judge, and some of the agents and cops involved, said the same thinking. If the number of victims in this case are roughly accurate [plus-minus six], then we have roughly twice the body count as in the Watts case. Possibly multiple children, multiples spouses and multiple accessories.

To take the intertextual allegory even further, imagine if…

I am completely saddened that you are moving the more detailed pieces to Patron, where we are charged a fee. I followed you since the watts case and truly looked forward to reading your pieces. But I do not have extra money to continue reading

I don’t think $2 for hundreds of articles, dozens each month, is asking a lot. I do think it’s asking a lot to insist on free coverage for hundreds more articles, forever.

Wow! To think that i used to really enjoy this blog. Then i made the mistake of listening to your You Tube channel. To be honest, your commentary is a snoozefest. i literally fell asleep. You sound bored and disinterested. Needless to say, I unsubscribed within a couple of days. You can’t handle ANY constructive criticism by anyone. You think you know EVERYTHING (fyi…you don’t). You don’t seem to have a humble bone in your body and you certainly don’t appreciate your subscribers. All you do is bitch and moan about how we should not expect you to continue to provide free content when YOU’RE the one who started the channel. You act as though you’re doing your subscribers a favor. Your attitude about it is laughable, and it’s why your channel isn’t going anywhere. Now you’re doing the same on your blog. I’m so done. Its insulting for you to act as though $2/month is nothing when every content creator out there is pushing patreon. You need to stand out to get my $2/mo. Btw, I’m not the only one who feels this way about you. There was an entire discussion about your shitty attitude in a fb group I belong to! I hope you treat your patreon members better. Good luck though! 😘

I want to thank you for your comment. It’s comments like this that absolutely justify discontinuing free content not only here, but on YouTube as well. This WordPress site alone costs $100 a year to maintain, and again, comments like this make it so much more worthwhile to focus on and invest in my patrons. In terms of YouTube my goal was to grow the channel to 10K subscribers, I’ve done that, so I’m less interested in actively trying to grow it the way I was earlier. $2 is a lot of money for some people. I hope you spend yours wisely.

ncam619, You’re entitled to your opinion, however, Nick delivers so much content to his subscribers, and upholds his channel in a respectful way. If you are interested in True Crime, thinking for yourself, problem solving, and getting facts, rather than solely entertainment, it’s worth $2.00 or more per month. He has to make a living, just like everyone else. It is juvenile and tasteless to badmouth anyone on a Facebook group. I hope you find better things to do with your time.
